The Best of Friends is off the press. This is a compilation of our honors writers in the last six anthologies and reflects the best of our authors.. Copies are available through Two Friends Publishing, PO Box 859, Welaka FL 32193 for $16.00 plus $2.50 postage and handling.

We have just completed a book for Dr. Dorothy Headley Israel called From Harlem to the Sea. It is an autobiography told in stories of love, spirituality, dedication, and prejudice – told with objective honesty. Dr. Israel was born in Harlem during the Harlem Renaissance and now resides on the beach in St. Augustine.

We are now beginning a children’s book written and photographed by Demaris Elder – My Name is Shakespeare. It is the story of her pet goat and his rapport with a myriad of animals. Demaris is truly a lover of the entire animal kingdom.

Two Friends' Latest Project!
The next anthology for Two Friends Publishing is to be named Once Upon a Place. As the name implies, the theme will be places whether it be a town, an attic, a tree house, a country. The guidelines are as follows:

• All submissions must be your own work
• Critique Fee 3 poems 30 lines each or less – $4.00
• One story 1200 words or less – $6.00
• All submissions must be critiqued
• Photos and Paintings in a places genre
• Send submissions with SASE
• before deadline January 15, 2008
• Anthology to be available in April, 2008
• Honors Page winners will receive a monetary award

In October, we will be attending the biannual conference of the National League of American Pen Women.
